To report a suspected sewer problem, call Customer Service at 901-465-9500 Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
After 5 PM and on weekends, call the after hours emergency number at 901-387-9005.
Most mainline stoppage issues can be remedied quickly and easily after the notification of Sewer Department. The Somerville employee responding to the complaint will review the circumstances and determine if the stoppage or cause of the complaint is due to a town infrastructure issue or a customer piping issue. Customer piping issues will be the responsibility of the owner.
If the suspected stoppage is determined to be either in your service line or in your building, you will be responsible for repairing the issue.
